The Convocation of the Divine Feminine will no longer be offering worship services once a month.

About CDF:
Our services reflected the infinite diversity of the Sacred Divine Feminine through our study, worship, prayer, artistic expression and innate wisdom.
We are; Visionary Artist Linda Stern, Zen Buddhist and Bereavement Counselor Sibyl Lundy, Social Worker Suzanna McCarthy and Interfaith Minister Karen Lindquist. Read more here.
Deep and meaningful, sometimes playful, always joyously reverential, experiential, often contemplative and prayerful, we share from the heart our inner connection to the Divine Feminine as She lives in loving balance with the Divine Masculine.
Join with us in honoring Her compassionate presence in the world.
In 2011 we explored the Universal Spiritual Archetypes, one each month: January - Fool, February - Innocent, March - Orphan, April - Warrior, May - Caregiver, June - Seeker, July - Destroyer, August - Lover, September - Creator, October - Ruler, November - Magician, December - Sage.
The image we chose for exploring Universal Spiritual Archetypes is the spiral galaxy.
This image represents for us the Mystery of the Cosmos, the Centering necessary for deep work, and the Spiral Movement toward a Center supported by the Universe Turning ~ a constant, eternal, benevolent and balanced spiritual energy of Love leading all toward Oneness.
"...one of the difficulties of trying to describe this journey is that it is not linear. It is not a path from A to B. Rather it is a circumambulation of the soul, a spiral dance that draws us towards the center of ourself where the lover and the Beloved have always been united."
~ Llewellyn Vaughan-Lee The Bond With the Beloved
Visionary Artist Linda Stern is creating a painting of the twelve archetypes that emerge through our spiritual journey.
She paints during the worship service and invites the energy of the archetype and the energy of those present to guide the image being created. We call this co-creation our "Living Altar."
We are informed about the archetypes through the work of Jean Houston and her work with the Entelecy principle and Carol Pearson's
Awakening the Heroes Within: Twelve Archetypes to Help Us Find Ourselves and Transform Our World.
Entelechy means the dynamic purpose that is coded in you... :
[We need] "to attempt to tap into a symbolic or archetypal expression of the entelechy principle operating in our lives. Entelechy is all about the possibilities encoded in each of us. For example it is the entelechy of an acorn to be an oak tree, of a baby to be a grown-up, of a popcorn kernel to be a fully popped entity, and of you and me to be God only knows what. It is possible to call upon the entelechy principle within us in such a way that it becomes personal, friendly, and even helpful. This entelechy principle can be expressed symbolically as a god or a guide. We feel its presence as the inspiration or motivation that helps us get life moving again after times of stress or stagnation. There are many ways to engage the symbolic forms of the entelechy principle..." ~ Jean Houston

Our HerStory:
We began holding worship services at Interfaith Community Church in the fall of 2005. We chose to offer these services in months with a fifth Sunday, occurring four or five times a year.
Our first year ('05-'06) we focused upon Creation, beginning with the void and progressing through stages of birth, growth, maturity and independence, and transition/Transformation.
Our second year ('07) began with an invitation for the Convocation of Divine Feminine to be the guest presenter within the Interfaith Worship Series on the first Sunday in February. Our subject was Imbolc and the goddess Brigid and her sacred fires. Visionary Artist Linda Stern began a painting of Brigid for this worship service.
We continued exploring and deepening with the goddess Brigid throughout the remainder of the year and each service highlighted a different Messenger from our convocation who focused upon a specific aspect of Brigid. Linda continued working on the Brigid painting within the worship services until completion.
Our third year ('08) we focused upon Healing and devised this intention statement:
“We are committed to bringing through aspects of the Divine Feminine for Healing and Transformation.”
Our fourth year ('09) we focused upon Divine Feminine Wisdom.
Our fifth year (2010) we focused upon the Heroine's Journey.
Now in our sixth year (2011) we have expanded to offer worship services honoring the Sacred Divine Feminine every month on the fourth Sunday. We are exploring the spiritual journey in greater depth and have chosen twelve Universal Spiritual Archetypes to focus upon, one each month: Fool, Innocent, Orphan, Warrior, Caregiver, Seeker, Destroyer, Lover, Creator, Ruler, Magician, Sage.
Next year (2012) we will be sharing our gifts with the world in new ways as we deepen with the Sacred Divine Feminine. These new ways may include workshops, special services, dialogues and more!
Blessings to All!
